2008

Jan 26 was the very first parade for Carnival 2008. What a
beginning ! And
they
continued every night through Tue, Jan 29. Here are just
a couple of pictures
for
you to enjoy.

Well, it looks like Roberto's Black Coral Factory is no
longer. It was closed down
as
they
remodeled the building, but as of yet, he has not moved back
in. The
understanding is that he has closed. He made such beautiful pieces
too !
- Al Pie del Carbon ! -
This restaurant, located on the corner of 5th Ave and
6th
Street south, is a great find. The Argentinian style
steak house charcoal broils all
of
their meats
right there for you to see. The wine list is pretty
extensive. And
everything is resonably price. You have to try the Chistorra - an
spirally wound
Argentinian sausage - to die for ! This one should not
be missed !

Yes, it is true, Prima's is going to be moved into the
Wynston. Albert claims that
he will bring over the entire menu from Prima and just keep a
few of the good selling
items from Wynston's. So, you have until August to
enjoy the outdoor setting of
Prima's !
- As
many of you know, Carnival had to moved up by 1 week this year due
to the
Mayoral elections that took place on Feb 3. 2 men
- PRI - Juan Carlos, and PAN -
Troy, were the primary candidates for the position. And
as seems to be the
way
to do it, a winner was NOT announced until 1 week after the
elections so that
recounts, and finger pointing and the such could be
completed. In the end, the
PRI
candidate, Juan Carlos, was the victor ! Recently, we had some
customers
question about a rash that developed after diving.

News........... Well, even with the
increase in gas prices and the bruised economy in the
states, the
airline industry continues
to expand. And the winners are

Austin, TX - Anyone ever hear of VivaAerobus?? They
begin service on May 1,
2008
from Austin to Cancun. Prices start at $ 9.99 USD each
way. Yes, you read
that
correctly, just $ 10 bucks each way plus tax. These tickets
require a minimum 5
weeks advance
purchase. Sound to good to be true? Well, this low
cost carrier is,
owned by RyanAir. And it works just like
RyanAir or EasyJet. The earlier you book,
the cheaper the price. They reward people for advance
purchasing. As the date gets
closer, the price goes up and up.
North Dakota - you guys wanted it and you got it. Frontier
Airlines is
now going
to
be flying into Fargo. Meaning, prices should start to come
down for you
now
that
Northwest will have some competition. You will be able to fly
from Fargo to
Denver and then direct to Cozumel. Without having to drive
for 8 or more hours !
Service is scheduled to begin May 12, 2008.
Orlando, FL - JetBlue is beginning new service between
Orlando and Cancun. So,
all
of your southerners now have an easier way to get to us. You
will no longer have
to
go down to Ft. Lauderdale to catch a flight to Miami. Or up to Atlanta, or
Hourston, etc.
Now, if we can just get
them to start direct flights into Cozumel.
But this is a start. Service is scheduled
to begin Mar 13, 2008. JetBlue already
flies in from Boston and NYC/JFK direct.

I am not sure exactly how it works,
but this is amazingly
accurate.
Read the full description before looking at the
picture.
The picture below has 2 identical dolphins in it. It was used in a case study on stress level at St. Mary's
Hospital.
Look at both dolphins jumping out of the
water. The dolphins are identical ! A
closely monitored, scientific study of a
group revealed that in spite of the fact
that the dolphins are identical, a
person under stress would find differences in
the tow dolphins. If there are
many differences found, it means tht the person
is experiencing a great amount of
stress. Look at the photograph. If you find
more than 1 or 2 differences,
you definitely need vacation in Cozumel
!  Final
words........
